Quantitative Energy Analyst

The Monarch Partnership is an intelligent utilities consultancy, helping business customers save money on their gas and electricity bills by finding them the best deals or helping them to be more energy efficient.

The Monarch Partnership is looking for a Quantitative Energy Analyst to join our Trading and Risk Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing organisation with the opportunity to further develop their career alongside an experienced manager.

The role will deal with market research and reporting, focusing on energy marketing modelling and forecasting.

Reporting into the Head of Trading and Risk Management and working closely with a team of Energy Analysts, the successful candidate should be a team player who is able to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and work within a small team effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and improving on existing energy market models
  • Supporting trading decisions with quantitative recommendations
  • Carrying out quantitative market analysis, outlooks and forecasts
  • Developing quantitative risk management tools and models
  • Supporting the pricing team with fixed and flexible pricing tenders

Required skills:

  • BSc or MSc in a numerical subject such as maths, engineering, economics, finance or business
  • Team player
  • High level of accuracy and attention for detail
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a self-starter who is motivated and proactive
  • Open, friendly person who is keen to develop and has an enthusiastic approach
  • Good organisational skills and prioritisation
  • Act with honesty, integrity and due skill, care and diligence in carrying out all responsibilities
  • Experience in a quantitative/financial/modelling role is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of trading or energy procurement is desirable but not essential

Head of Internal Sales

Contract: Permanent
Location: Wallington, Surrey
Hours: Full time (8am-5pm)

We are a long established energy and utility consultancy providing services for commercial companies, housing providers, charities and local authorities. We employ the latest technology and bespoke software analysis systems to enable us to provide a top-class service to our clients.

We are embarking on the next step of our sales strategy and are looking to recruit a Head of Internal Sales to oversee and support our sales team.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure the monitoring of sales metrics and the pro-active management of the entire sales administration process. They will collaborate with various professionals, so it’s essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. They should also be able to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals.

Ultimately, the Head of Internal Sales should be able to build a high-performance sales team to ensure lead generation and customer satisfaction.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate and develop the sales representatives team
  • Develop targets for the internal sales team and ensure its implementation
  • Track sales targets for team
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Training and continuous improvement of sales team
  • Perform lead generation and evaluation
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Periodically provide reports on the internal sales activities of the company
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
  • Promote the company’s products and brand
  • Participate in developing marketing strategy
  • Pitching company’s products/services to prospective clients/customers
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with clients
  • Meet sales target and goals

Experience & Skills:

· 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and industry
· Experience of managing a sales team
· Ability to multi-task and stay effective
· Ability to work efficiently as part of a senior management team
· Ability to work with little or no supervision
· Excellent presentation skills
· Self-motivated and enthusiastic
· Must be an excellent communicator – written & verbal
· Must possess good organisational leadership skills
· Must possess people skills, and have the ability to be creative
· Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
