Executive Relationship Manager

Location:Wallington, Surrey – option for flexible remote working
Full time
Salary: £30 – £40k

The Monarch Partnership is an energy solution consultancy whose core product offering is gas and electricity supply contract procurement for the small and medium-sized business universe. Working in partnership with many of the top energy suppliers, The Monarch Partnership operates across many sectors helping business customers save money on their gas and electricity bills by either finding them the best deals, or helping them to be more energy efficient. In addition to energy supply contract, as we grow, The Monarch Partnership also provides solutions for energy efficiency, consumption monitoring, SMART metering and other energy solutions and energy supply account management.

The successful candidate will be the face of the business, responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing client accounts.  You will support and oversee end to end delivery for the contract, setting up and arranging overall strategy, reducing energy usage against pre-set targets and identifying opportunities to upsell. You will be expected to keep up to date with energy industry legislation and market data and attend client meetings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop new and existing client relationships, optimising quality of service and customer satisfaction
  • Creation of energy tenders and management of the overall process
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed commercial targets
  • Monitor and receive information on market activities and provide relevant reports and information to clients
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure sustainable relationships through positive tender responses
  • Business development including contract renewals, selling of additional services, bringing in new sales leads, responding to and following up on sales enquiries

Key skills and competences:


  • Experience in client account management
  • Knowledge of the energy supply market with specific experience of leading the delivery of utilities services
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills to upsell and introduce new services and packages to existing clients
  • Commercially astute
  • Able to resolve queries and disputes with clients and suppliers
  • Experienced leader with the ability to delegate and manage across systems and departments
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with good attention to detail


  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience working with energy suppliers
  • Experience of working with multi-site accounts or in the public-sector space

Junior Editor

Location: Wallington, Surrey
Hours: Full time
Salary: £25,000

We are looking for a Junior Editor to join our small team of marketing professionals to edit and occasionally write marketing content for our group of company brands within the energy industry.

The Junior Editor will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of content across numerous brands. The perfect candidate will have a sharp eye, a passion for grammar, and experience with SEO is a plus. Day-to-day duties will include editing and writing web copy, blog posts, guides and reports about energy related topics. A part of the role is communicating with internal colleagues to manage tasks and make sure the editing process runs smoothly. To be successful in this role, you should be detail oriented, efficient, self-sufficient, and fast learning.

Ultimately, you will help us reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing on and offline information about our company and products.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Proofread and fact-check written pieces for publication
  • Write sharp, punchy copy for web pages, email campaigns and social media posts
  • Research energy industry-related topics to help feed the content schedule
  • Communicate with internal colleagues and industry professionals to manage tasks
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO tools to optimise content
  • Contribute to weekly content meetings
  • Coordinate with brand leaders, writers, marketing and design teams to optimise the content editing process

Skills and experience:

  • Proven work experience as an Editor, Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • An ability to fact-check and proof-read long-form content pieces
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • BSc in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field
  • Ability to create visual content: graphic and video graphic
  • Understanding of all analytical tools involved in social media posting

Personal qualities, aptitudes and skills:

  • Proven ability in adhering to deadlines through strong time management skills
  • Comfortable communicating with all levels within the business to present ideas or challenge existing project criteria. Recorded, monitored and reviewed periodically
